The Magic Kingdom was even more so with sounds I’ve not heard before thanks to my cochlear implant.
These are sounds from Disneyland and California Adventure my cochlear implants enable me to hear:
- The small birds singing in the Tiki Room. Enchanting!
- The telegraph ticks ticking away while waiting for the train at the New Orleans station.
- The whoosh of the water on the wheel of the Mark Twain Steamboat
- Many of the voices that come over the speakers in the rides, like the Haunted Mansion.
The joy of sounds
It will be three years this June since the cochlear implants were turned on. It is amazing to me how I still hear sounds I’ve not heard before. Great fun.
